Position Title:
Field Networking Technician

Position Description:
Install routers, switches, firewalls, and VoIP phones at customer locations and work with 3rd party contractors to install services remotely.

Major Reposibilities:
- Complete site surveys of customer locations in preparation of new service installation.
- Technical calls with IT contacts and Integrators to plan and design networks- hardware to be installed, routing,
  VLANs, and firewall policies
- Installation of customer premise equipment- Edgewater routers, Cisco Routers, Cisco/Linksys Switches, and
  Aastra, Cisco, and Polycom VoIP handsets, Cisco ASA firewalls.
 - Routine maintenance of customer premise equipment
 - Diagnosis and repair of service impairments

Required Qualifications:
 - 1-3 years of field networking and IP routing experience
 - 1-3 years of hands-on configuration of routers, switches, and firewalls
 - 1-3 years of VoIP handset deployment

Special Skills/Equipment:
- Laptop
- T1, Fiber, DS3, Router configurations, Cisco IADs, ATAs
- Aastra, Cisco, Polycom handsets
-Cisco certifications are preferred, but hands-on experience in lieu of certifications is acceptable
