Over the past six months, Evolve IP has been a host site for Junior Achievement (JA). JA is an interactive experience that teaches local high school students how to start and run their own businesses, develop and market a product. This years’ student-run JA company, Lava for Life, designed and created aromatherapy lava bead bracelets. These bracelets are scented with doTERRA essential oils and help to either relax or invigorate the senses.
Each spring, the high school students in the JA Company Program meet at the Regional Competition to showcase their work in creating new products and companies. On April 20th, nine groups of high school students will converge upon the Microsoft Technology Institute in Malvern. The students will demonstrate their newfound business acumen and the spirit of entrepreneurship. The competition features student interviews, booth competitions, financial statement reviews and will culminate in an awards ceremony where students will have the chance at college scholarships.
Our students have worked LONG and HARD this year to make these bracelets happen. We are proud to see how far this year’s company has come, and we hope to take this company all the way to national competition in May!
