PCI DSS is the payment card industry's security standards for entities that process, store, or transmit cardholder data. ASV designation is awarded by the Payments Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) to approved scanning vendors that have demonstrated the ability to maintain a quality of scanning and recording fidelity.
