Information Security Veteran Joins Evolve IP
Carl Herberger to lead Evolve IP’s Information Security & Compliance Services Practice

WAYNE, Pa. -- June 8th, 2009 -- Evolve IP, a Managed Technology Service Provider, today announced that Carl Herberger has joined the company as Vice President, Information Security & Compliance Services.

A recognized information security expert with more than 15 years of information security experience in private and public enterprises, Herberger brings a unique and extensive background in information security and regulatory compliance to Evolve IP, including: corporate security program strategy; development and optimization; information security regulatory compliance; integration of business continuity and information security; data breach incident response forensics; and social engineering and emerging risks.

Before joining Evolve IP, Herberger served in various security and disaster recovery leadership roles, most recently as president and co-founder of Allied InfoSecurity, Inc. Prior to that, Herberger was the information security officer for BarclayCard US, where he managed the company’s entire information security program. Earlier, he led the SunGard Professional Services IT Practice to be recognized as one of the top five IT security consulting organizations in 2005, and held positions with the Campbell Soup Company and the U.S. Air Force.

Herberger received a Bachelor of Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Business Administration in finance from Auburn University. Over the course of his career, he has been awarded several professional certifications including CISSP and CISM; invited to speak at more than 100 industry events; featured in numerous national and trade publications; and included in business school course work at University of Boston, University of Minnesota and Villanova University.
