Key 3: Adding Value. In order to increase the stickiness of an agent’s MPLS base, it’s imperative that the agent finds ways to add value. “MPLS offers the ability to add a plethora of options that can provide value and differentiate by enabling you to get into consultative discussions focused around the deployment of enabling mission-critical technology,” said Joseph Pedano, vice president of data engineering for Evolve IP. “It eliminates the ‘me too’ perception and places partners into a proactive position of expertise.”
Pedano further explained that increased services builds average revenue per customer, which raises profit and amplifies stickiness, which, in turn, delivers more profit. “The more value-added services your customers have with you, the harder it is for competition to take [them] away, particularly if you are in a consultative role.”
