My colleague Jason Gaston, Director of Veterinary Cloud Solutions, has been attending North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and the Western Veterinary Conference (WVC) for over a decade now. This being my first year attending, I asked Jason how the technology landscape in the vet industry has shifted over the last 10 years. He told me that at first, no one had any idea what the cloud was, other than it was “up there, somewhere and was used for something.”
However, in between then and now, the cloud became better understood. It was a place where you stored your music, picture and files and it did some other things.
Not quite…
In the past few years, more started to see the benefits of moving to the cloud as we noticed a focus on increased patient care, quality of support and ease of access across the tradeshow floor. That’s exactly what we offer.
Cloud-based software for veterinarians is changing the way we think about veterinary practice management solutions. The goal of cloud software for vet practices is to help veterinarians and technicians have more time to focus on pet care resulting in better outcomes for the animals (and happier, less stressed vets!).
To break it down for you, here are three reasons your veterinary practice should consider adopting cloud technology:
- Improve quality
- Save money
- See more patients
To sum it up, veterinarians should not fear the cloud, they should embrace it.
