Integration is a heavily overused and quite honestly, an overextended term. However, the partnership between Junior Achievement and Evolve IP defines the possibilities of integrating not-for-profit and for-profit organizations at volunteering, financial and technological levels.
Junior Achievement (JA) is the world’s largest organization dedicated to preparing young people to succeed in the global economy through a variety of financial literacy, work-readiness and entrepreneurship programs. They plan to nearly double the number of students in their program to 60,000.
Evolve IP’s original engagement with JA’s Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter came as the organization recognized that its legacy phone system was hampering growth. With the need for a cloud-based solution, but limited to a modest not-for-profit budget, JA turned to Evolve IP for a state-of-the-art communications system that allowed for rapid expansion and enabled employees to work remotely; exactly the same as if they were in the office.
Evolve IP started by upgrading Junior Achievement to its IP Phone System, providing the company with a user-friendly interface for voice and video calls over the internet. When Junior Achievement was ready for the next step, Evolve IP deployed cloud computing services including desktops as a service and virtual data center solutions. These services allow JA’s team to focus on providing educational services while gaining greater mobility and being assured of business continuity, security and scalability.
“We are now truly a mobile organization and the Evolve IP OneCloudTM, which unifies cloud computing and communications, has enabled our associates to spend more time on initiatives that directly impact students,” said Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter President Paul Kappel, Jr. “However, Evolve IP has done much more for JA than just provide great technology services. Through the company’s Evolve Cares program they have also had a direct impact on our organization’s mission.”
“Evolve IP is extremely proud to partner with JA and support its critical work to empower young people to succeed,” said Evolve IP’s President, COO and Founding Partner, Guy Fardone. “We have a long history of supporting Junior Achievement in a variety of capacities and our involvement goes well beyond the role of technology provider.
