Yesterday, February 1st, was Change Your Password Day – an annual event introduced by Gizmodo and Lifehacker to spread awareness and improve online security.
Did millions of technology users come to work today using new passwords?
Based on the results of SplashData’s annual “2015 Worst Passwords” list, it is evident that we are creatures of habit, taking in comfort in convenience and regularity. So while it may seem ironic that Change Your Password Day is immediately followed by Groundhog Day, IT professionals won’t actually be surprised when next year’s Worst Passwords list is published and the usual offending passwords are listed.
Awareness, Choice, and Action
Security and cloud management products introduce proactive and dynamic opportunities to break free from the persistent cycle of weak passwords, creating a more secure environment for the organization’s technology and data.
Evolve IP’s survey of 1,080 IT professionals and executives revealed some enlightening statistics about the cloud and security.
