Glumac Decreases Energy Consumption, Improves Reliability and Reduces Costs with Cloud Services
April 22, 2015 – Today Evolve IP announced that Glumac, a full-service engineering consulting firm specializing in sustainable building design, has replaced its legacy phone systems, call centers and networks with the Evolve IP OneCloud solution across 10 locations nationwide. Glumac’s new 17,500-square-foot office, using Evolve IP’s cloud services, is the first registered Living Building Challenge (LBC) Petal Certification net-zero energy tenant improvement project in the country. Registered under LBC 2.1, Glumac is using reclaim strategies to recover waste heat from a data center within the Aon Center. So much of the waste heat is reclaimed and reused throughout the year, that it offsets the total energy use of the entire hyper-efficient Glumac office.
