Protect Corporate Data with Business-Grade File-Sharing

File sync-and-share technology has made it possible for employees to access and share files from virtually anywhere. As much as file-sharing aids business collaboration, the use of consumer-grade file sync-and-share services, such as Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, and Google Drive, jeopardizes corporate data and the cost to organizations that mishandle data is significant. Therefore, it is imperative that organizations adopt a business-grade solution that is both easy to use and secure.

Universal Access and Sharing of Files, From Any Device and From Anywhere.

Evolve SYNC syncs corporate data, allowing users to access and share critical files and folders from their computers and mobile devices. With SYNC, users are able to work from virtually anywhere, securely collaborating with internal and external parties while controlling the files and folders that they have shared, and setting policies for the ways in which they are accessed. All of this combines to form an intuitive and seamless user experience.

From an administrative standpoint, SYNC gives IT staff total control over their corporate data. A comprehensive dashboard, rich reporting, and granular controls makes it easy to manage an entire instance of SYNC. Coupled with encryption, custom or unlimited retention, remote wipes, continuous backups, and rapid restores, SYNC sets the standard for business-grade file sync.

”We live in a world where information equals power. With the influx of online file-sharing solutions, distributing information has become easier than ever. As a result, it is now easier for information to fall into the wrong hands intentionally or unintentionally.”

Outlook Add-in

Using the Outlook add-in, you can send links—rather than standard attachments—to files and folders of any size, so you can share content that would otherwise be blocked by Microsoft Outlook. You can even ensure security by sending secure share links, so that all recipients must log in before accessing the shared content. In this way, you can safely work and share items from your email client, but with more options and configuration settings.

As an added benefit, the Outlook add-in keeps track of the items that you have shared by creating and populating a Shared Items folder in your Synced Folder. Because the Outlook add-in integrates with Synced Tool, you always have a backup of your content without needing to store or search for attachments within your email client.

Using the Outlook Add-in

When you compose a message in Microsoft Outlook*, you use the Attach drop-down button to attach content in a variety of ways, including:

  • Browse and select files and folders stored in Synced Tool, or
  • Browse and select a local file stored on your machine.
  • Convert an item to a share link, which is particularly useful when forwarding email messages that originally included a standard attachment. You can decide to manually convert these items using the Attach drop-down menu, or this will happen automatically, depending on your attachment polices.

Note: When you send local files, or convert an item to a share link, they are then stored as Synced Tool content in your Shared Items folder.

*Microsoft Outlook for Mac does not support third-party add-ins.
