Disaster Recovery: survey says…

IT incidents happen to businesses every day – ranging from simple server crashes to human errors to offices and datacenters destroyed by environmental disasters. While developing and maintaining a tested disaster recovery strategy might top your IT to-do list, time and resources often shift to revenue-generating IT initiatives. Unfortunately, that means many businesses end up looking back saying “we should have”.

We recently completed a revealing survey of 2,084 IT professional and executives about Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity latest practices, trends and challenges. The results clearly illustrate the need to move disaster recovery planning from “nice to have” to “need to have.” The survey found that 34 percent of organization have suffered a major incident that has required disaster recovery procedures. The report also shows that of those experiencing a major incident, 11 percent experienced permanent IT losses. There were many other interesting results, which we have highlighted in this new info graphic.
