Cloud Contact Center news by Casey Houser this week showed the support of several U.S. cities for their corporate and emergency call centers.
“Call centers that do continue to exist are apparently benefiting from cloud services. A recent report from Evolve IP shows that the barriers to cloud entry are dropping and that more IT managers and business executives are showing support of the cloud. Many even indicate that they are “cloud believers.” Even those who indicated that they are non-believers showed that they are often part of companies that utilize at least one cloud-based service as part of their operations. This is in line with the MarketsandMarkets report that predicts a compound annual growth rate of 21.3 percent within the cloud-based contact center market between 2014 and 2019. If that prediction holds true, the market will rise from a current value of $4.15 billion to $10.9 billion in five years.”
